🧠 A Friendly Note About Medications & Safety
As part of my commitment to your mental health and overall well-being, I want to be transparent about safe prescribing practices in my care.
🚫 I do not prescribe stimulants and benzodiazepines together.
This is not to limit your treatment—but to protect your health. These medications, when combined, can significantly increase the risk of dependency, dangerous side effects, and even accidental overdose. Clinical guidelines recommend avoiding this combination, and I always follow evidence-based practices to ensure your care is both effective and safe.
🌿 Additionally, if you are currently using marijuana or other substances alongside stimulants or benzodiazepines, it's important to know that this can interfere with your treatment plan. Substance use can mask or worsen psychiatric symptoms and make it harder to accurately assess what’s working—and what’s not.

At Synaptic Cove Mental Health, we use Qbtech testing as a valuable tool to support accurate ADHD diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
We require all new patients starting stimulant medication to complete a Qbtech test to help us establish a clear, objective baseline of attention, activity, and impulsivity.
For patients already taking stimulants, Qbtech is also used to reassess how well your current medication is working. This helps us determine if any adjustments are needed to optimize your care.
By combining clinical insight with objective data, Qbtech helps us deliver the most effective, personalized treatment possible.
We offer telemedicine visits for your convenience. You can connect with our healthcare providers from the comfort of your own home or office.
